Grading Procedures:


A = 

90-100 Points=

Outstanding achievement; reserved only for the highest accomplishment.
Obvious knowledge and understanding of the science is displayed.
Professional quality work. Outstanding in both technique and content. Exceptional creativity. All objectives surpassed.
B = 

80-89 Points=

Praiseworthy performance; definitely above average
Knowledge and understanding of the science is good
Very good or better than average. Above average technique and effective content. Most objectives surpassed and creativity apparent.
C =

74-79 Points:

Average; awarded for satisfactory performance
Average knowledge; some understanding of the science is displayed.
Average work. Technique is just acceptable with objective barely met. Project lacks imagination and initiative. Technical problems apparent.  All minimum requirements met.
D=

70-73 Points:

Below average work. A single or combination of problems with techniqe and/or content. Some objectives not met, others barely acceptable. This project needs major revision.
F =
69 or Fewer Points:
Unacceptable. Major problems with technique, content, creativity. Many objectives not met. What were you thinking?
The bottom line is: A's are reserved for exemplary performance that goes beyond expectations.
